Initial itinerary
Day 1: Depart to Marrakesh
Day 2: Arrive in Marrakesh. Morocco Arrive at Marrakesh airport at 12:25 pm. Your guide in Morocco will be waiting for the group holding a sign saying "ARAMFO-Teachers Program" so please look for this sign. Transfer to the raid where you will stay overnight in a home owned by Moroccan families – a unique and wonderful experience Half-day tour in Marrakesh Meals: Welcome dinner in Marrakesh
Day 3: Marrakesh-Rabat After breakfast, a full-day tour in Marrakesh including Kotoubia mosque, Agdal and Menara Garden, Madrassa Ben Youssef, and the Almorvaides Quuba. In the evening enjoy your dinner in Marrakesh. Depart to Rabat (around 3 and half hours drive) in a private coach Meals: Breakfast Overnight in Rabat
Day 4: Rabat -Fez Half-day tour. Rabat sightseeing to visit: Rabat's Royal Palace and its impressive Bab ar-Rouah (Gate of the Winds). The ruins and wild gardens of the Chellah, a 14th-century Merinid necropolis. The Hassan Tower, a huge unfinished mosque, built at the end of the twelfth century. Lunch on your own, and then head to the Kasbah Oudaias to visit the Andalusian gardens. Depart to Fez (Fes) (around 3 hours) in a private coach Meals: Breakfast Overnight in Fez
Day 5: Fez You will spend a full day in Fez (Fes), a sprawling city over 1,200 years old. Its well-preserved old town (medina) is a vast maze of winding streets and alleys, crowded aromatic bazaars and eclectic architecture. No cars are allowed so transport there is in the ancient, traditional style, on foot. Choose the focus of your morning walking tour with an official guide and enjoy our first walking tour in the old town (medina) in which you will sample the local cuisine, get an insider’s look at the craftsmanship of the artisans who make intricate hand-crafted carvings, rugs, leatherwork and metalwork, see historical mosques and souqs or explore the Jewish quarter and learn about the influence on local cuisine and culture. After lunch in the medina, you will be given a tour of the city’s famous leather tanneries, which are dominated by numerous deep, multicolored pools of dye. Here preparing leather is done in the same way as in medieval times to supply the artisans of the souks and bazaars. At the end of the day, you will return to your riad and have dinner on your own.

Day 6: Meknes- Chefchaouen A day trip to Meknes, the walled city of Spanish-Moorish architecture that dates back to the 11th century and rose to glory in the 17th century under the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail. He made Meknes the capital of his empire. Sultan Moulay Ismail was a powerful and ruthless leader who liberated Morocco from the Ottomans and Europeans. The walking tour of the old city includes Moulay’s stables that could house 12,000 horses and was designed to water and feed them with an aqueduct and granary. After some free time at the medina, we board our bus for the ruins of Volubilis. Volubilis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A tour of Volubilis, one of the most well-preserved Roman cities in North Africa will be provided by a local guide. Depart to Chefchaouen for a 3-hour bus trip through the Rif Mountains to the resplendent blue medina of Chefchaouen, known as the blue city that attracts thousands of people annually.

Day 7: Chefchaouen After breakfast included in our raid, a half-day tour of the town and its Jewish quarter, explaining why this city is painted blue. Take the afternoon to explore the city further or go to the Ackour National park for hiking. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen Meals: Breakfast
Day 8: Tangier, Morocco and on to Spain Early departure to Tangier to take an afternoon ferry to Algeciras, Spain. Your guide will be waiting for the group holding a sign saying "ARAMFO Teachers Program ". From Algeciras the driver will take you to Granada. Overnight stay in Granada. Meals: breakfast
Day 9: Orce Depart to Orce at 9:00am (90 minutes from Granada) to see the new Arche-paleontological discovery in Orce
The arche-paleontological sites of Orce are revealed, once again, keys to understand the first human occupation. The orceño deposits are characterized by the quantity and variety of human activities, combined with the great diversity of other vertebrate species that coexisted in a large lake converted, today, into ravines and ravines.
The Barranco Leon deposit receives the privilege of being the oldest human occupation in the European continent. In it, archaeologists record much of the variety of activities that our most remote ancestors would carry out: stone carving and the processing of herbivore carcasses. In Barranco León, dominated by two species closely linked to water, the hippopotamus and the tortoise, percussions have been recovered with which the hominids fractured other rocks to obtain sharp edges and also useful heavy elements with which to break bones to access the marrow that is.
Overnight stay in Granada Meals: Breakfast
Day 10: Granada-Malaga A half tour in Granada that includes a scenic drive to 13th-century Moorish Alhambra Palace and the Generalife gardens in Granada, created to reflect the Moors’ vision of paradise on Earth. Explore them during this guided visit. Guitarist Andres Segovia described Granada, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, as a “place of dreams.” Finish the day with the Albaizin sunset neighborhood tour. Depart to Malaga by 4pm Meals: breakfast and Farwell dinner
Day 11: Malaga Departure day Transfer to Malaga airport by 3:00 am

Note: If an upgrade to single occupancy is requested and available: $400 to be paid 30 days before departure, for single occupancy
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing. The following cancellation schedule applies: 50% of the paid amount refunded 90 days prior to departure. 25% of the paid amount refunded between 89 and 76 days prior to departure. No refund within 75 days of the departure date.
